Poppupadom

Multi-award winning Indian chef, Anand George returned after four months away from the Welsh culinary scene launching his first pop-up restaurant concept - Poppupadom.
The Tiffin Cup winning joined forces with Spiros, the Cardiff based fine dining catering company which operates throughout South Wales to mount the project.
Wales' first Poppupadom pop-up restaurant was held at The GlassHouse private venue in Sovereign Quay, Cardiff Bay on 14th July, when Anand George created a four-course fine dining experience for one night only.
Anand George said: "Pop-up restaurants are currently a huge hit in London and other cities where people enjoy the excitement of a nomadic eatery which is here today and gone tomorrow. Teaming up with Spiros, who cater for all sorts of events has given me the infrastructure I need to literally take my restaurant on the road and create a fine-dining experience which I hope people will love."
The symbol of Poppupadom is a butterfly, representing a colourful experience which flits from venue to venue. True to its transient nature, Poppupadom events will be announced using social networking platforms including Twitter and Facebook.
Spiro Borg whose company has recently diversified into location catering for the TV industry said: "We are hugely excited to be collaborating with Anand George who is a great chef, I believe we have a culinary dream team which draws on the strengths of all involved. The newly opened GlassHouse is a perfect venue for our debut and we are looking forward to creating great restaurant experiences for our guests."
Later in the year Anand George will be bringing Poppupadom to the Abergavenny Food Festival creating a two-day pop-restaurant in partnership with Spiros.
